Tropical Cyclone Outlook for Coral Sea

Potential Cyclones:


There are currently no significant systems in the region and none are expected over the next seven days.

A tropical low (18U) lies to the east of the region, located near 12.9S 160.4E at 1pm AEST Wednesday 1 March. The low is expected to take a track to the southeast later today and develop further. It is expected to remain to the east of the region.

This system poses no direct threat to the Queensland coast or Australian offshore islands.
