Updated Tropical Cyclone Outlook for the Northern Region, including the Gulf of Carpentaria

At noon ACST Saturday 7 January, Ex-Tropical Cyclone Ellie was located near the WA/NT border about 125 km west southwest of Rabbit Flat and moving to the southeast. The low will remain over land bringing heavy rain to parts of the inland Northern Territory - refer to the latest warnings at http://www.bom.gov.au/nt/warnings/

There are no other significant tropical lows in the region and none are expected to develop in the next seven days.
