Tropical Cyclone Outlook for the Northern Region, including the Gulf of Carpentaria

Existing Cyclones in the Northern Region:

Nil.

Potential Cyclones:

There are currently no significant tropical lows in the region. The monsoon is active across the tropics with increasing shower and thunderstorm activity. A weak low may form in the Gulf of Carpentaria over the weekend. It is not expected to develop into a tropical cyclone. No other significant lows are expected in the region over the next seven days.
