Tropical Cyclone Outlook for the Western Region

Issued at 2:00 pm WST on Thursday 19 January 2023
for the period until midnight WST Sunday 22 January 2023.

Existing Cyclones in the Western Region:

Nil.

Potential Cyclones:


A tropical low may form near the Northern Territory coast next week. It is expected to then move west into the Timor Sea, entering the Western Region on Thursday 26 January. It is expected to be a weak system and the likelihood of a tropical cyclone in the region is Very Low for the next seven days.
