Dotruga

The Republic of Dotruga, commonly known as Dotruga or Tutono, is a federal republic located in Northern Lysteriok. It is divided into 13 districts and 82 sub-districts. With a stable economy and output, it is one of the richer nations on Universalis. It is a developed nation with potential to grasp onto a world power status in the near future. Its neighbors are Ethanthova, Timbalta, Elvine, De Lafflele, and Bielosia. The nation has both been influenced by and influenced many nations in the region, and this connection has led to a regional alliance which has solidified the nation.

Etymology

Dotruga derives from the Oka word "Druga" which means "Resting place," or "Tranquil place." Native Oka tribes settled Southern Dotruga around 15-20 thousand years ago. When Ethanthovans first explored and settled the area, the Okans referred to their settlement as "The Land of Druga."

History

Pre-Tutonian Period

Before Ethanthovans settled into Northern Lysteriok, tribal groups existed throughout Tutono. They migrated from Bielosia 15-20 thousand years ago. Very few tribes, such as the Oka, were rather ahead of their time when it came to culture, government, and science. They developed advanced astronomical tools, quality medicine, and a system of checks and balances.
