The UBA salary cap is the limit to the total amount of money that Universalis Basketball Association teams are allowed to pay their players. There is an additional salary cap for staff members of the teams as well. Like many professional sports leagues, the UBA has a salary cap to control costs and balance the league, defined by the league's collective bargaining agreement (CBA). It is a hard cap except during the offseason when teams may go over the limit in order to sign free agents as long as their roster is below the cap when the season starts. The salaries are spread across the season.
