Aiyoti

Official Aiyoti (alt. Aioti) is the most spoken language of Aiyota and is used as a lingua franca for communication across Aiyota. It also has a heavy prevalence in Himalia, Akaji, Shioni, Aeridani, and across the Serkr. It is taught in most Arioko schools, alongside Aeridanish.

It first started to form in [century] as the Personal Union of Vakasarine and Saghi-Sakta began to lean more towards a political union. It came about as Saghi/Saktani, Akarini and Vikasani speakers began to come into contact more and more and their languages mixed, this created a new irregular language commonly dubbed "Aiyoti", as the crowns of the union started to notice this, the language became regularized and it got its unusually regular grammar in Dasi, as this happened just before the Venture to The West, the language quickly spread across the Aiyoti Union Empire.

Akarini is in the Azdraic branch of the East Serkr Languages, while Saghi/Saktani and Vikasani are part of the Kovoteic branch.

Dialects

Although Aiyoti is a highly standardized and nationalized language, dialects still remain very prevalent with some being just barely reminiscent of Standard Aiyoti (eg. Kyintan Yang Aiyoti). Throughout the nation, Standard Aiyoti is taught together with Standard Aeridanish and occasionally Yoka Tsi.

Aeridanish Influence

Due to a long history of trade with the north, Aiyoti has a huge Aeridanish influence, with as much as 26% of its modern everyday vocabulary coming from Aeridanish. In Arioki schools at least basic conversational Aiyoti/Aeridanish is taught, being odd for one of these languages not to be taught.
